FAQsStretch Mark Reduction FAQ - Harley Ultrasound

February 8, 2019by holly

Stretch marks are a natural part of growth, often forming during puberty when our bodies grow quicker than our skin can develop. Pregnancy and weight or muscle gain can also cause stretch marks. Our Stretch Mark Reduction treatment at Harley Ultrasound uses radio frequency technology to reactivate collagen within the skin, and thus increase the elasticity of the skin. This reduces the visible appearance of stretch marks. We answer Stretch Mark Reduction FAQ to give you more information about the benefits of this treatment.

Is it safe?

Yes. Our Stretch Mark Reduction treatment uses radio frequency technology, which is safe and non-invasive. The radio waves create heat when they are emitted into the skin. However, this is by no means unpleasant. The heat is controlled and remains about 40 to 45 degrees Celsius.

Is it painful?

No. Stretch Mark Reduction uses non-invasive technology, so does not cause any pain. A few people may find the heat uncomfortable, yet generally, people find it relaxing and therapeutic.

How does the treatment work?

Stretch Mark Reduction works by emitting radio frequency waves into the skin. In doing so, this produces thermal energy and encourages the repair and growth of the skin in the target area, reducing signs of stretch marks. How long does the treatment last?

The treatment lasts around 30 minutes, though this may differ depending on the target area.

How many sessions do I need?

This is a difficult Stretch Mark Reduction FAQ. Many of our clients see results from only one session of Stretch Mark Reduction. However, you may need more than one treatment to see the results you want. This will all be discussed with you during a consultation before the treatment.

Do I need to do anything after the treatment?

No. However, you may benefit from applying C-TOX Serum once a day following the treatment. This aids the growth and repair of collagen, helping you to get the most out of the procedure.
